Input methodologies review forum 29–30 July 2015

The Commission held a forum to give interested parties an opportunity to present on the issues for the review of the input methodologies (IMs). The forum was an important step in the problem definition phase of the review and allowed participants to present the issues as they see them, to both the Commission and other interested parties.

The aim of the forum was to:

  • allow as many significant issues as possible to be identified and shared with all interested parties being involved early in the process
  • assist in more quickly defining specific problems that changes to the IMs could potentially address
  • allow the Commission to further develop a process and timeline for the IM review that is appropriate for the issues to be considered as part of the IM review
  • allow parties and their expert advisers to explore these issues with other parties and Commission staff before making formal written submissions. This should help parties develop their submissions, by allowing them to test the clarity of expression and to anticipate possible questions and counter-perspectives. All parties will eventually benefit from later receiving well-developed written submissions.

The presentations and the transcript from the forum can be found below.
