The Consumer Law Reform Bill had Committee of the Whole House stage on Tuesday 3 December and is now awaiting its third reading in parliament. We continue to work to ensure we have the systems, processes and policies necessary to provide guidance and enforce the changes anticipated under the new law.

Commission prepares for biggest consumer law reform in decades

The Commission intends to be ready to fully implement the changes to the Fair Trading Act on the date they come into force, and expects businesses to be ready too.
