Global Fibre8 Limited and Tangi Tuake

Building product company Global Fibre8 Limited and its sole director and shareholder Tangi Tuake have been convicted of four representative charges each under s13(e) of the Fair Trading Act. The charges relate to various misleading representations made between July 2015 and August 2018 about K3T, a wall panel system, having CodeMark approval in New Zealand when it only had Australian CodeMark approval. On 13 May 2022, in the Auckland District Court, Global Fibre8 Limited was fined $280,000 and Mr Tuake fined $80,000. Mr Tuake was also ordered by the court to pay reparation of $120,000.
