Brilliance Steel Limited
The Commission launched an investigation after receiving complaints that Brilliance may have engaged in conduct that breached the Fair Trading Act in relation to steel mesh. The Commission laid charges against Brilliance and the company pled guilty to making false and misleading representations for its 147E steel mesh product which it marketed and sold as being earthquake grade ā500Eā steel mesh between 30 September 2012 and June 2016. The company was fined $540,000 in August 2018.
