The Consumer Issues Report is one of the initiatives undertaken by the Commission to better understand the potential issues that New Zealand consumers face and where there is likely to be the greatest harm. Our report is based on an analysis of information from a wide range of sources, including our own data as well as information from other government and community agencies.

The report was produced for the first time in 2014 to inform our internal planning. After completing the first report, we considered the benefit to others if we were to share this information publicly.

We continue to use the intelligence under-pinning the report to inform our selection of priority areas for the following year.
