We publish selected official information responses on our website to provide additional resources for those seeking information and to improve transparency.

We do not publish requests for personal information (which can include requests by companies). These requests are decided under Part 4 of the Act, and are not published due to the requestor’s right to seek to correct information and because of the need to protect personal privacy and/or commercially sensitive information.

Responses relating to open investigations are generally not published on this register, due to the need to avoid likely prejudice to the maintenance of the law.

When will you hear from us?

We will respond to your request no later than 20 working days after we receive it. In some cases, we may need to ask for an extension – if we do, we will contact you.

Will you get all the information you ask for?

We may need to withhold certain information. If we need to do this, we will give reasons why in our response. Read more about why we can withhold information.
