The purpose of the ‘Understanding Stakeholder Perceptions’ audit is to understand how the Commerce Commission is currently viewed by our key audiences and where we need to focus to strengthen perceptions.
In March 2023, the Commission engaged Perceptive to undertake Billing Clarity Research to determine what the current issues consumers are faced with when trying to understand their broadband and mobile bills. This qualitative research was completed in June 2023.
The purpose of the New Zealand Consumer Survey is to measure what New Zealanders know about their consumer protection rights and their success in resolving problems under the Consumer Guarantees Act, Fair Trading Act, and Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act.
