Lion’s Share and Shelly Rose Cullen
Shelly Rose Cullen has been fined $600,000 and ordered to pay an additional penalty of $5,328,849.05 (the value of her commercial gain), for her promotion of ‘Lion’s Share’, a pyramid selling scheme. Ms Cullen was sentenced having been found guilty and convicted of five charges of breaching section 24 (enforced via section 40(1A)) of the Fair Trading Act 1986 for offending that occurred between 11 July 2020 and 8 November 2020. ‘Lion’s Share’, was responsible for approximately 150,000 participants worldwide losing a total of almost $NZD17 million.
