The Commerce Commission has received an application from PMP Print Limited seeking clearance to acquire the Manukau heat set printing assets (and related spare parts) of APN Print NZ Limited.
The Commerce Commission has received an application from PMP Print Limited seeking clearance to acquire the Manukau heat set printing assets (and related spare parts) of APN Print NZ Limited.
PMP Print is a wholly-owned subsidiary of PMP Limited, an Australasian commercial printing group. In New Zealand, PMP Print produces a range of printed products including catalogues, magazines, books, directories and newspapers.
APN Print is a wholly-owned subsidiary of APN News & Media Limited. It also produces a range of printed products.
The clearance application relates to both parties' involvement in the provision of heat set printing services to publishers of magazines and catalogues throughout New Zealand.
In considering the application, the Commission's role is to determine whether the acquisition has the effect of substantially lessening competition in a market.
