The Commerce Commission has received an application from Gallagher Group Limited, seeking clearance to acquire all of the business assets of Greyson Gates Limited.

Gallagher is based in Hamilton, and is the wholly owned subsidiary of Gallagher Holdings Limited. Its primary focus is on the design, manufacture and marketing of animal and security management systems, including rural gates and gate hardware under the brand Franklin.

Greyson is a wholly owned subsidiary of Perry Group Limited, is based in Putaruru, and is involved in the manufacture and wholesale supply of rural gates and gate hardware.

In considering the application, the Commission's role is to determine whether the acquisition has the effect of substantially lessening competition in a market.

A public version of the application will shortly be available on the Commission's website under Public Registers.
