The Commerce Commission will hold a three-day conference next week on its draft framework paper, which was released as part of the Gas Pipelines Inquiry.
The draft framework paper set out the Commission's process and proposed the legal and analytical frameworks to be used in the Inquiry. Interested parties were asked to make submissions on the draft framework paper. The conference is an opportunity for interested parties to present their submissions orally and for the Commission to ask questions based on those submissions.
The conference will be held from Monday 1 to Wednesday 3 September 2003, in the ground floor conference room located at 44-52 The Terrace, Wellington. The conference will be chaired by Paula Rebstock.
A copy of the conference programme is attached. Media are asked to confirm their attendance with Jackie Maitland, Communications Manager, (04) 924-3708 or jackie.maitland@comcom.govt.nz
The Commission received 14 submissions on the draft framework paper. All submissions are published on the Commission's website, www.comcom.govt.nz (select Regulatory Control Inquiry on Gas Pipelines and then Submissions from Interested Parties).
