The Commission has filed five charges under sections 30 and 40(1) of the Fair Trading Act 1986 against Allen Trading Company (1972) Limited for supplying goods, namely a plastic toy car, that did not comply with the prescribed product safety standard between 1 August 2019 and 6 June 2023. Small parts were liberated from the plastic toy car during reasonably foreseeable abuse testing, which presented a choking hazard to children up to 36 months of age.
