The Commission has filed 13 representative charges against Brand Developers Limited t/a TV Shop, that focus on marketing and promotional practices it believes are likely to mislead consumers. The Commission alleges that TV Shop engaged in misleading conduct in its handling of online reviews, and made false or misleading representations about consumer’s remedies, and the nature/characteristics of its Air Roaster Pro.On 7 March 2023, BDL entered not guilty pleas to all charges. A Case Review Hearing will take place at the Auckland District Court on 23 May 2023 at 3.45 pm.
