The Commission considered Sales Concepts Limited made unsubstantiated representations in breach of section 12A of the Fair Trading Act when the company claimed that the use of everyday electronic devices resulted in harmful illnesses (such as cancer and infertility in males, children and pregnant women) caused by radiation. It claimed that their products could protect against these effects.
