The Commerce Commission conference to gather information about Powerco Limited's application for authorisation to buy up to 100 percent of Egmont Electricity Limited will be held on Monday June 30.
While only interested parties may participate in the conference, the public may observe and the media may report the proceedings.
The conference is an opportunity for Powerco and interested parties to provide further information and for the Commission to ask questions. It is not an adversarial process. Participants will not question or cross examine each other.
If the Commission accepts a request that some information be presented confidentially, the room will be cleared of all people except the presenters and other parties' experts and legal counsel who have signed confidentiality orders.
Venue: Conference Room, National Library, 58-78 Molesworth Street, Wellington
Timing: Monday June 30, 10am-12.30pm and 1.30pm to 5pm. If necessary, the conference will resume on Tuesday July 1 at 9am.
