The Commerce Commission and an Auckland publisher have agreed to a publishing and delivery schedule that will see customers receive the books they have paid for.
Customers complained to the Commission that Alister Taylor had taken money for copies of various New Zealand Who's Who publications but that the copies had not been delivered.
Mr Taylor has undertaken to the Commerce Commission that customers will receive their books, and has sent letters to customers with a schedule showing when proofs will be delivered for checking, and when the completed books will be distributed.
Commerce Commission Director of Fair Trading Deborah Battell said the undertaking from Taylor was the best outcome for customers, who wanted an assurance that they would get the books they had paid for.
The Commission would watch the progress of the publishing schedule, said Ms Battell.
