Brent Andrews, who was a director of Premodealz Limited, a mobile trader, was convicted and fined $3000 after being found guilty of two charges under sections 103(1)(a) and 103(3)(a) of the Commerce Act 1986 for refusing or failing to comply with a notice under sections 98(1)(a) and 98(1)(b) of the Commerce Act 1986 and refusing or failing to appear before the Commission pursuant to a notice under section 98(1)(c) of the Commerce Act 1986. Mr Andrews was convicted and sentenced in July 2023. He appealed his conviction and sentence unsuccessfully to the High Court and the Court of Appeal.
