The Commerce Commission has approved an application from Consolidated Extrusions Pty Limited, a joint venture between Austral Bronze Crane Copper Limited and Simsmetal Limited, to acquire those business assets relating to brass and copper alloy extrusions and distribution of the MCK Group Limited and MCK Pacific Pty Limited.
Commission Chair John Belgrave said the Commission is satisfied that the proposed acquisition would not have, nor would be likely to have, the effect of substantially lessening competition in New Zealand in the market for brass and copper alloy extrusions.
The Commission's decision on the application will be available shortly on the Commission's website, www.comcom.govt.nz/adjudication.
