Wilson Parking/Wellington City Council decision by April 16

The Commerce Commission announced today that its decision on Wilson Parking Ltd's application to acquire four Wellington City Council carparking businesses will be made by 2pm, Wednesday, April 16.
Commission Chairman Dr Alan Bollard said that that the decision was to have been made today, but Wilson Parking gave the Commission considerable further information this afternoon, and the Commission needs more time to consider it.
Dr Bollard said the information is commercially sensitive and will not be released at the moment.
The Commerce Act prohibits business acquisitions that result in dominance being acquired or strengthened in any markets. Parties can apply to the Commission for a clearance which will be granted if the Commission is satisfied that dominance is not acquired or strengthened.
