Central Park/Wilton B reconductoring listed project
This page was updated1 year ago
On 28 June we approved Transpower's proposal to replace conductors on its Central Park Wilton B line, which is one of two transmission lines that supply the Wellington CBD.
On 2 March 2017 Transpower submitted an application seeking an increase in its base capex allowance to reconductor the Central Park Wilton B line. Transpower included an estimate of $11.6 million to replace the nearly 12 km of corroded conductor.
Our decision allows Transpower to recover an additional $10.6 million from its customers to complete the replacement works. This figure is consistent with a revised estimate Transpower provided us as part of its submission on our draft decision.
